An hour at the sample table settles more than a month of emails. No charge, no deposit, and nothing is ordered on the day.
Come to the bench, or we will come to you
Most people start at the sample table, where the timbers are. For built-ins and whole rooms it is worth having us measure the space ourselves, and if you are out of town, a call will do.

How the hour goes
Coffee, and the room
You tell us about the space and the people in it. We ask what you already own that has to stay, because that usually settles the timber.
Boards on the table
Oak, walnut, smoked oak, kiaat and teak, side by side under the same light. Colour is chosen off the board, never off a chart.
Drawn between us
A designer draws the piece to scale while you watch, and changes it while you argue. Proportion is easier to settle on paper than in oak.
An honest date and figure
You leave with the drawing, a timber picked out, a price and a real lead time. Nothing is ordered on the day.
The questions we are usually asked
Does the consultation cost anything?
Not at the showroom, and not on a call. A visit to your place is R950, and that comes off the order if you go ahead.
How far ahead should I book?
A week is comfortable. We keep the first slot of each morning open for people who walked in the day before and want to come back properly.
Am I committing to anything?
No. About half the people at the sample table leave with a drawing and think about it for a season. The drawing is yours either way.
Can I bring a piece to be looked at?
Please do. Bring the chair, the leaf or a photograph of the water mark and we will tell you at the bench whether it is worth restoring.
Or simply walk in
The floor is open six days a week and nobody will hover. Booking only guarantees that a designer is free to sit down with you for the whole hour.
